AV Rhodes Jr.

AV Rhodes Jr., 70, passed away at his home in Talco, Texas, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

AV was born in Cuthand, Texas, (Red River County) on May 12, 1944, to Velma Jewel Leatherwood and AV Rhodes Sr. He was a retired forklift driver with 30 years of service with Campbell Soup in Paris, Texas. He was married 51 years to the love of his life, Billie Moree Rhodes.

He is survived by his wife, Billie; his son, Dennis D. Rhodes and his wife Kristine of Boerne, Texas; his daughters: Debrah D.Spradling and her husband Mike of Talco, Texas, and Deana D. Ramsey and her husband Mike of Detroit, Texas; his grandchildren: Andrew, Todd, Matthew, Kaleb and Jennifer; and, his great grandchildren: Wyatt, Kylie, Levi, Les, Payton and Hunter. He is also survived by his three sisters: Ruth Turner of Houston, Texas, Helen Linton of Houston, Texas, and Mary Ann Borth of Wills Point, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Claude Rhodes; his two sisters: Dorothy Turner and Lois Tom; and, his nephew, Jimmy Turner.
