Arthur Duvall, of Commerce passed away Friday morning, January 21, 2022 at Sunny Springs Health and Rehabilitation Center in Sulphur Springs, Tx. with family by his side. Arthur was born in the community of BugTussle, Tx., the son of Joe Duvall and Lorene Delphene Henry Duvall on January 7, 1932. He served in the U.S. Army from March of 1951 until April of 1954 when he was honorably discharged. Following the service, he pursued a career as a mechanic, working for local car dealerships and becoming the owner/operator of his own garage which was located in Cooper, Tx. for many years. He loved to take road trips on his motorcycle and even served as a member of the Patriot Riders organization where he could contribute to honoring veterans and their families.
He is survived by his wife, Billie Faye Griffith Duvall and his children: Terry Wayne Landers, Laweitta Young, Latreia Cannon, Chris Duvall and Rowdy Duvall. Other survivors include 12 grandchildren: Jeremy, Tiffany, Linzey, Cody, Gauge, Corey, Cole, Cassey, Kerizma, Fantasy, Constance, and Trinity; and 6 great grandchildren: McKinzy, Colbey, Brayland, Elianna Ozuna, Naylee and Olivia. Among those who welcomed him into heaven were his parents and 2 great grandchildren: Bibi Mailica and Catherine Ann Preas.
Visitation will be Sunday January 23, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. until 2:00 P.M. Funeral service will follow the visitation at Jones-Walker & Son Chapel.
