Amos Leon McKinney Sr.

Amos Leon McKinney Sr. was born July 1, 1966, in Sinton, Texas, to Myrtle Jewel Goodley and Alfred Eugene McKinney Sr. passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2016, in Bonham.

Leon attended Elementary School in Taft, TX, and High School in Dallas, TX. He attended church at Power House Church of God In Christ in Taft, TX. He sang in the choir at Bible Deliverance Church of God In Christ in Dallas, TX.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Chasity McKinney; two sons: Michael Maynard of Victoria TX. and Amos McKinney Jr. of Honey Grove, TX.; two daughters: Kiliegh Bateman and MaKalee Bateman of Honey Grove, TX; his mother, Myrtle Jewel Goodley of Beaumont, TX; his step- father, Thomas Goodley of San Antonio, TX; his four sisters: Estell Davis (Clarence) of Cures, TX; Misty Johnson (Chad), Doris Ruben (Ken), of Beaumont, TX, Sonya Luckey (Skeegan) of Victoria, TX; his two brothers: George McKinney (LaShune) of Beaumont, TX and Anthony McKinney (Ruby) of Choctaw, OK; and a host of relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Amos and Myrtle LeFridge, Georgia Malone; his father, Alfred McKinney Sr; his two aunts: Mercie Jenkins and Marilyn LeFridge.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at West Side Baptist Church, 912 West Commerce St. Honey Grove, TX. 75446, with Bro. Terry Paul Cunningham officiating.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 o'clock noon until service time.
