Alma Marie Moyer, born January 30, 1932, in Hays, Kansas, passed away on April 19, 2026, in Commerce, Texas.
Alma was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who lived a life centered on family, faith, and love. She worked at TWA and was known for her creativity and passion for writing. Alma wrote four books and published one, and she lovingly wrote poems for family birthdays, leaving behind words that will be cherished for generations.
She was widely known for her excellent cooking, her warm and loving smile, and the way she made those around her feel cared for. Alma served as a Eucharistic Catholic minister, reflecting her deep faith and commitment to others.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Eugene Moyer, who passed on April 18, 2015, and her daughter, Jill, who passed on August 4, 2025.
She is survived by her children Val, Ron, Randy, Ken, and Lisa, along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Alma also had three brothers: Larry Schafer, John Schafer, and Francis Schafer and two sisters: Gladys Wensel and JoAnne Labarge.
Alma is now reunited with her beloved husband, Ralph.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Interment will be at the Rosemound Cemetery in Commerce, Tx. with Ken Moyer, Jon Zebendon, David Moyer, Troy Frisbie, Logan Zebendon, and James Virgin serving as pallbearers.
