Alfred Pane Matthews

Alfred P. Matthews, 97, of Commerce passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, in Commerce.

Mr. Matthews was born in Commerce on December 26, 1915, to Mae Ella and Sam Leroy Matthews. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and the U. S. Army having served in WWII and Korea.

Survivors include his son, Johnny R. Matthews of Commerce; his daughters: Martha Gasche, Sue Dragon, Brenda Gaydos all of California, and Linda Matthews Brown of Cooper; ten grandchildren; and, 13 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sisters: Minnie White and Lillion Nowlin.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. with the procession leaving the funeral home for graveside services at 3:00 p.m. at Rosemound Cemetery.
